Jetty Park is a great site to go in if you want to access the beach on the other side of the Colorado River. Also a fun place to SUP when the conditions are good. Watch out for boat traffic though as Jetty Park sits at the entrance to the Colorado river on an active boating channel.
Oyster Lake
Oyster Lake park is a small park at the end of Oyster Lake Road. It provides access to fish West Matagorda Bay and Oyster Lake. It is also one of the sites on The Great Texas Birding Trail. There is parking at this site.

3 Mile Lake is a large marsh area on the backside of Matagorda beach. It is accessed from the Beach but typically requires a 4×4 vehicle.
FM521 Park FM521 Park
FM521 Park is a small park with a boat Ramp on the Colorado River north of Matagorda. This is a great site to put in for an all day paddle down river. FM521 Park also serves as a great place to camp overnight if you are paddling from Riverside Park to Matagorda Beach. There are no usage or camping fees.
