FM521 Park

521 Park is a small park with a boat Ramp and fishing dock on the Colorado River north of Matagorda. This is great site to put in for an all day paddle down river to Matagorda Beach. You can also fish from the dock, launch a boat, and camp here. If you are paddling from Riverside Park to Matagorda Beach this is a good spot to camp along the way. There is no usage fee.

The surf is up on Matagorda Beach today! Beware the sand is soft and driving conditions are 4x4 only.

Clay 5mm might be a bit heavy! 🤣

Just came from there. 4×4 is not enough. You need high clearance. I have seen 4wd Suvs stuck as they bottomed out. Sand is deep.
