The Matagorda Beach Cleanup will occur as part of The Texas General Land Office Adopt-A-Beach Program Saturday, April 18, 2020 from 9 AM to 12:00 PM. Please join us and help protect the beauty of Matagorda beaches.

High Tide Warning! We are experiencing 16mph onshore winds in Matagorda today. The tide is already high. The forecast for tomorrow is for 35+MPH winds which we expect will drive the tide even higher than today. It is possible the tide will push all the way to the dunes overnight and tomorrow. We recommend you pay close attention to the conditions if you plan to head down beach today or Saturday. Be especially careful if you plan to camp on the beach overnight. Also the driving conditions are 4x4 only right now.
Same for Palacios bay...the bay looks like a beach now.
