Blue water is starting to push back toward the beach, it is just outside the surf zone this morning. Driving conditions are also improving as the tides drop back to normal and fresh water inflows decrease. The current is currently moving west to east which is opposite of the normal flow. Currents are still strong and dangerous in some areas. There have been 3 drownings on the beach this week, all in and close to Jetty Park. Do not swim near the piers!!! The undertows and rips in this area are very strong.
3 of the 4 sensors on Jetty Park are now reading medium bacteria levels. There are cabbage head jellies coming ashore on the beach and there are lots of crabs at the waters edge at night.
